Step2, In the How to get your Dubai Resident Visa.

Firstly we need to discuss here whether you are applying for the Dubai Resident visa from within the United Arab Emirates or whether you are applying for your Dubai Resident Visa from outside the United Arab Emirates. If you are applying from outside the United Arab Emirates and you do not have an active Resident Visa, then we would start to apply for your Entry Visa.

If you are applying for a Dubai Resident Visa from within the United Arab Emirates, and currently you are in the country on either a Dubai Tourist Visa, cancelled Resident Visa or on a passport that is granted access, then we need to apply for a Visa status Change and E visa first.

If you are currently on an active United Arab Emirates Resident visa, then we first need to cancel your current United Arab Emirates Visa before we may start any processes.

Once we have determined if we need to do a visa status change or not, then we may proceed to starting the E visa.
